Chicago has great beaches along Lake Michigan. Walk the Navy Pier or ride the 150ft. Ferris Wheel. Millennium Park is great for Segway Tours, or Kayak tours down the Chicago River. Marvel at the Cloud Gate, akaThe Bean. It is a mirrored sculpture that reflects everything.
Go underground to the Pedway System. It is 40 blocks of tunnels with shopping, & restaurants. Most visitors do not know about this. Now to address the pizza war between New Yorkers and Chicagoans. Try Chicago’s deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s and decide for yourself.
The Buckingham Fountain has light and water shows. Located in the middle of Grant Park, it was based on the Latona Fountain at the Palace of Versailles.
For sports fans, remember the Chicago Bull’s Michael Jordan? The Near West Side community is home to Jordan’s 12 ft. (3.7m) statue, The Spirit. Visit the Rock n’ Roll McDonald’s museum (600 N. Clark St). Americans say McDonald’s differently than Argentinians. My 1st day working at McDonald’s corporate office, I asked where McDonald’s was located & nobody understood. Finally, a lady said it was two blocks away, imagine my relief. “We have been cleared for landing. Keep your seatbelts fastened. Flight attendants are coming around to pick up any remaining garbage.
